By Yulian Ansori on Thursday, February 24, 2011 with

Shit Robot has unveiled details of a new live show alongside a limited edition 12 inch. Real name Marcus Lambkin, Shit Robot is one of the hidden heroes of DFA Records. A hugely respected DJ and sound engineer, he has been involved in countless projects without ever taking centre stage.

Using the name Shit Robot, the producer began to find a focus for his tracks. Veering between disparate influences, debut album 'From The Cradle To The Rave' was a deeply eclectic display of production.

Containing a raft of guest appearances, despite the intrusion of members of LCD Soundsystem and Hot Chip what shone through was the sheer imagination of Shit Robot's production.

Working on his live show, Shit Robot is now able to unveil something special. The producer is due to launch 'The Shit Robot Show' a new A/V venture which features Lambkin performing ‘inside’ a bespoke screen, which will feature custom-designed visuals to accompany a selection of re-worked tracks from Shit Robot’s back catalogue.

Set to debut next month, Shit Robot will unveil the new project at a show in London's Fabric nightclub. Moving out to the United States, 'the Shit Robot Show' will support LCD Soundsystem during their final dates at Terminal 5.

Meanwhile, Shit Robot is preparing a limited edition 12 inch. Containing two remixes, guest production comes courtesy of Kompakt lynchpin Michael Mayer who tackles album stand out 'Tuff Enuff'.

On the flipside, John Talabot's remix of 'Take 'Em Up' takes the track into sparkling disco territory. Set to perform at SXSW later this month, Shit Robot are in the process of confirming more live shows. Shit Robot have confirmed the following UK date: March 4 London Fabric
